Who Are Ya!?

Port Vale Football Club is a professional football club based in the city of Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire which is in the middle of England. Not many people know the club is based in Stoke as most of the professional clubs are named after their location however Port Vale is based in a town called Burslem. The club compete in English League One, which is actually the third tier of English football. Port Vale have won the Football League Cup twice (1993, 2001) and their best finish in the FA Cup was semi finalists in 1954.

The clubs main rivals are Stoke City FC however since the two clubs rarely play each other with 2 divisions parting them Crewe Alexandra FC are seen as the clubs current rivals.

Birth of the Club

Port Vale FC was formed in 1876, in 1884 they took the name ‘Burslem Port Vale F.C’., dropping the ‘Burslem’ in 1907.
